Strep and ear infections, colds and stomach bugs – they are all part of childhood. I want to make sure the kids are ok and the parents understand what is going on and what they can and need to do. What I really enjoy is helping parents to become confident in raising their children and most importantly to enjoy this fleeting honor. As the kids get older I want to help them understand how important it is to take care of their bodies and their minds. As I entered parenthood, one of my patient parents advised me to surround my children with as many caring adults as possible. The advice is sound, and I see myself as part of that support.
I have a very fulfilling life. I read, cook, travel, and bird watch year round. In the summer I garden, am a beekeeper, and enjoy golfing with my family and friends. In the winter I curl and knit. All of my interests keep me mentally and physically engaged. Both of my adult children and their spouses live close by and I have an adorable grandson with whom I play frequently. My husband is very supportive and humorous.
