Dr. Qin specializes in Pediatrics and is happily accepting new patients at our offices in Garfield Heights and Bainbridge. She has a special interest in supporting the mental and reproductive health of young people, and values working in partnership with schools and community organizations to create cocoons of care around her patients and families.
I believe that it takes a village to raise a child. When we forget that the responsibilities, challenges, and joys of childhood are meant to be shared, we tend to become isolated and burned out. I don’t want that for any of us. I hope that we can learn from each other and find ways to support our children in and out of the doctor’s office. My training in sociology and public health taught me the importance of building systems of care that extend beyond the doctor’s office.
I love exploring new recipes and collecting children’s books when I travel (my shelf currently holds stories in ten languages). The food we eat and the stories we tell can be delightful windows into our experiences and imaginations. I’m an avid contemporary board gamer — I’ve even traveled to Germany for the world’s largest board game convention. Reading science fiction challenges my sense of what the world is and what it could be, while volunteering in the community is my way of helping nudge the world a little closer to a brighter future.
Dr. Qin completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology at Indiana University. She went on to Northwestern University, where she earned both her medical degree and a Master of Public Health. She then completed her pediatric residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
