Strep and ear infections, colds and stomach bugs – they are all part of childhood. I want to make sure the kids are ok and the parents understand what is going on and what they can and need to do. What I really enjoy is helping parents to become confident in raising their children and most importantly to enjoy this fleeting honor. As the kids get older I want to help them understand how important it is to take care of their bodies and their minds. As I entered parenthood, one of my patient parents advised me to surround my children with as many caring adults as possible. The advice is sound, and I see myself as part of that support.
I have a very fulfilling life. I love to read, cook and knit as often as I have time, and garden in the summer. I play squash in the winter and tennis once the clay court nets are up. I recently started beekeeping, curling and golf, as I believe that new challenges are good for me. I am the parent of two wonderful young adults and I learn from them just about every day. My husband is very supportive and humorous. Thanks, Betsy.
