Dr. Strawser specializes in Pediatrics and is happily accepting new patients at our offices in Garfield Heights and Twinsburg. She has admitting privileges at Hillcrest Hospital, and refer and follow privileges at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and Ahuja Hospital.
As a pediatrician, families turn to you for guidance, prevention, and reassurance as a child grows and develops, as well as advice and help in illness. This is a privilege and responsibility that I do not take lightly. I am honored to partner with patients and their families in both sickness and in health. I strive to listen with compassion, ease anxiety and fears to the best of my abilities, and to provide recommendations and treatment options based on best practices in the field of pediatrics. With that being said, no two children are alike and often there is more than one "right" way to navigate a child's health, so I aim to assist families in making decisions that are best for them and their child.
My clinical areas of interest are in disease prevention and healthy active living, which is something we all never grow out of needing to work on! Borrowing a quote from Benjamin Franklin, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." In every patient's unique situation, I want to help patients and their families set goals for living healthy active lives, both physically and mentally, and we will work together to grow in these areas.
Dr. Strawser and her husband Jay (a pharmacist) grew up in the same small southern Ohio town before they were married and moved to Cleveland. They love to travel and go on outdoor adventures, including hiking, camping, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, and snowboarding. They also enjoy doing CrossFit together and are active in their church and love to study the Bible with friends. They feel called to share their time and resources with others in need, including on international medical mission trips (ask Dr. Strawser about this sometime!).
Dr. Strawser is a graduate of The Ohio State University, summa cum laude, and earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency in 2018 at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
